Position Summary:
Supports ASA leadership in aspects required for the successful execution of Executive Committee (EC), Administrative Council (AC), Board of Directors (BOD) and House of Delegates (HOD), and governance-related operations and projects, consistent with ASA’s strategic plan. Duties include but are not limited to providing the day-to-day managerial and administrative functions to meet deadlines, monitoring long-range goals and projects, and providing expertise in managing tasks for the ASA leadership and the Senior Governance Support Manager. Manage two governance support staff.

Position Responsibilities:
This position is not static and will be revised as the need of the organization’s business evolves.
Major Activity : Manage two governance support staff (Senior Governance Support Assistant and Governance Support Specialist). Serves as back-up to Senior Gover! nance Support Manager and Senior Governance Support Associate ! for Executive Committee and Officer related responsibilities.
Major Activity: Manage and coordinate committee annual agenda planning, preparation and submission through collaboration with division, section and committee chairs and staff liaisons.
Major Activity: Manage and prepare annual budgets for committees, serve as a budget coordinator for assigned committees; monitor monthly committee financial reports. Assist with processing of various expense reports.
Major Activity: Serves as staff liaison to assigned committees (assigned AC Ad Hoc Committees and Workgroups), assembles meeting materials, and prepares meeting minutes.
Major Activity: Oversees all aspects of the ASA committee nomination and appointment processes, and roster management.
Major Activity: As a member of the ASA Governance Support Unit, works on, supports, and coordinates governance-related operations and projects, as assigned by the Senior Governance! Support Manager. As a Governance Support Unit staff, onsite at EC/AC/BOD/HOD meetings directly supports leadership and Review/Reference Committees.
Major Activity: Performs logistical governance and meeting planning coordination and oversight of tasks for governance including Executive Committee, Administrative Council, Board of Directors and House of Delegates meetings as needed by the ASA Governance Support Unit. This would include pre- and post-planning as well as onsite coordination, and collaboration with Meetings and Exhibits staff.
Major Activity: Responsible for oversight and coordination of BOD/HOD electronic voting, projection, Speaker scripts, educational sessions, Review/Reference Committee communications, Teleprompter speech submissions/practice, and Member Service Center coordination with Communications Director.
Major Activity : Oversee the receipt, formatting, tracking, production and dissemination of more than 150 Board of ! Directors meeting reports and more than 100 House of Delegates reports ! each year. Orchestrate the pre- and post- BOD/HOD meeting materials production including Handbooks, Review/Reference Committee bundles, audit trails and minutes.
Major Activity : Oversee the accurate development, maintenance and posting of governance resources and activity-related support materials online, including practice parameters and standards, guidelines and statements.
Major Activity: Acts as a project manager for special projects which may include planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, and organizing special meetings/events.
Major Activity: Oversees management and maintenance of assigned governance-related website pages (in Sitecore and SharePoint) and Portals, and specifically the AC Portals/pages. Oversees management and maintenance of assigned listservs.
Minor Activity: Other duties may be assigned.
