The Manager Champaign Ambulatory SurgiCenter (ASC) has leadership accountability for planning, facilitating, and mo! nitoring the day-to-day activities and functions of the ASC. Responsible for planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating staff utilization, budgeting, and marketing ASC services. Directly supervises nursing care and all related activities of the center. Coordinates and ensures efficient perioperative, surgical, and postoperative operational services. Develops and fosters internal and external physician relationships in order to provide surgical services to the community. Continually develops process improvement plans to ensure efficient patient throughput and staff workflows. Is responsible for leading ASC staff to ensure organizational goals and objectives are met through comprehensive support provided at the ASC.

Education:
BSN Required

Licensure/Certification:
Licensure as an RN in the State of Illinois required

Experience:
At least 5 years of healthcare experience in a busy ASC or Operating Room environment ! is required. Five years leadership experience in healthcare wo! rking with physicians, staff and other administrators is also required Leadership experience in managing groups or teams. Experience in process improvement, workflow efficiencies, and patient and staff satisfaction.

Other Knowledge/Skills:
Leadership, independence, responsibility, accountability, and good judgment. Ability to think strategically. Proven experience in providing operational oversight in a complex healthcare system. Strong organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple activities simultaneously, including an ability to perform the individual patient care role of a nurse, while insuring efficient and effective operations of the ASC providing service, and effectively collaborating with the entire surgical team to keep the “patient first.” Ability to effectively communicate and problem solve with the ASC team, perioperative team, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and organizational leadership. Highly collaborative, flexible, straightfo! rward, credible and steadfast. Ability to effectively lead change. Professional behavior and excellent customer service skills are required. Demonstrates clinical and managerial leadership in directing and supporting staff in all phases of surgical operations.
