Due to continued growth, Continental Anesthesia is looking for two Physician Schedulers for its Oak Brook office. Continen! tal Anesthesia has over 100 physicians and CRNA’s that provide professional anesthesia services at 17 hospitals and surgery centers in the Chicagoland, Milwaukee and Northwest Indiana areas.
Responsibilities ;
The primary role of the scheduler is to ensure the accuracy of the daily schedule for all Physicians and CRNAs. They will:
- Generate the long term monthly on-call schedule for CRNAs and MDs.
- Generate the vacation schedule for all anesthesia staff for the following year.
- Develop and manage daily staff schedules to ensure proper coverage of calls and workloads.
- Make decisions regarding movement of anesthesia staff daily to make the dynamic anesthesia departments run efficiently.
- Troubleshoot complex problems within the schedule.
- Field staff concerns and offer alternative recommendations to resolve problems.
- Provide first line communication with staff directing and overseeing day t! o day scheduling activities.
- Establish and maintain s! trong relationships and excellent communication with all anesthesia providers.
- Knowledge of physician scheduling and scheduling software a strong plus.
- Must have ability to:
- work independently within a flexible schedule,
- communicate effectively, clearly and professionally at all levels at all times,
- multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Must be skilled in:
- exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision making to achieve organizational objectives,
- establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with medical staff.
- use of computers and computer programs including Microsoft Office.
