Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - (CRNA) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Staff Care is recruiting for a locums CRNA in the greater Chicago area for a per diem position at a hospital based facility. The CRNA will work 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM daily with a 15 minute break, performing cases in a supervised environment with an Anesthesiologist available. In order to be successful, the Nurse A! nesthetist should be comfortable with general surgery, bread a! nd butter anesthesia and possess strong interpersonal skills.
A certified registered nurse anesthetist (locum tenens) administers anesthesia in surgeries as required by, or in the absence of, an anesthesiologist physician. A CRNA will look at patient history in a preoperative setting in order to determine an optimal course of action, choosing the techniques and drugs that best suit the patient's unique physiology and medical history. During surgery, it is the CRNAs job to administer anesthesia and manage the patient's reactions accordingly.
Required Qualifications
Illinois License, ACLS and BCLS are required.
