Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assist students as needed with credentialing.

2. Orient each new student at the clinical site

a. physical tour

b. computer access

c. pharmacy access

d. site access

3. Commun! icate to the anesthesia departmental staff essential information about the student in advance of his/her arrival as provided by RFU .

4. Coordinate each student’s daily clinical assignments with each student’s Typhon numbers and rotation objectives as provided by RFU .

5. Ensure that students receive daily evaluations that clearly describe strengths and areas needing improvement.

6. Conduct with the student, a documented cumulative evaluation for each student at the end of the rotation and email the document to the Nurse Anesthesia Department on the last day of the student’s rotation.

7. Coordinate with RFU in a timely manner all concerns associated with a student’s clinical performance.

9. Communicate with Stephen Florent at steve.florent@rosalindfranklin.edu clinical site credentialing updates and contact information updates.

10. Grade care plans.

Required Education & Experience

  • MS or PhD in field related to content area of course.
  • Experience in content area.
  • Experience in anesthesia or related field.
  • Expert in content area.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of effective teaching strategies.
  • Independent creation of classroom materials with assistance from and communication with Program Director and Administrative staff.
  • Ability to stimulate student thought through classroom activities.
  • Ability to fairly and accurately evaluate student performance.
  • Ability to contribute to de! sign and structure of course.
  • Ability to read student work submissions.
  • Communicate regularly with Program Director.
  • Working knowledge of word and basic computer skills.
  • Powerpoint presentation with verbal presentation skills.
  • Communicate with students in a way that promotes learning.
Preferred Qualifications

Typical Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Position requires Teaching in a classroom for 1-3 hours.
  • Work environment is classroom as needed to oversee classroom activities.
