The American Society of Anesthesiologists is currently seeking an IT Project Manager for our Park Ridge IL location (to be relocating to Schaumburg IL in May 2014) Position S! ummary Manages IT projects through the entire implementation cycle from concept to deployment Provides Information Technology solutions in support of ASA IT strategies Serves as the project manager in overseeing entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for new and enhanced business systems Part of the job responsibility will be to fulfill business analysis functions including the gathering and documentation of business requirements Develop UI mockups and designs as needed Manage the development and implementation of system documentation and system training for staff as well Occasionally will also need to provide operational IT support Position Responsibilities This position is not static and will be revised as the need of the organization evolves 1 Provide technical project management services to various ASAs business areas managing the entire lifecycle of the project from Definition to Deployment 2 Manage technology projects that integrate business processes with inte! rnet database and information systems (internal and external) ! webbased cloud and clientserver 3 Manage technology projects within project budget scope and timelines while adhering to the business and technical requirements Also responsible for the ultimate quality of the technical solution along with the rest of the project team 4 Perform business analyst functions such as requirements gathering creating requirements document performing systems analysis creating workflow diagrams and so on during the course of managing technology projects 5 Manage project team members stakeholders expectations and help ASA realize the projects expected benefits 6 Provide costeffective technical solutions that can be applied to ASAs business processes to improve efficiencies add value to appropriate functional areas contribute to the financial health of the organization and provide better products and services to ASAs Membership and other external stakeholders 7 Effective and timely communication to project team members peers stakeholders and managemen! t as appropriate 8 Develop processes procedures documentation to be used for technology projects at ASA 9 Work with external consultants and external service providers when needed to implement technologybased solutions 10 Other duties may be assigned as appropriate Please Note This position does not have organizational budgetary or management responsibilities However the Project Manager manages resources and budgets within projects This position also advises business teams on the use of technology and possible purchases of tools used to enhance products services Education and Training Bachelors Degree in Computer ScienceInformation SystemsManagement of Information Systems required PMP Certification a plus Work Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in managing projects through Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Minimum 5 years of technical project management experience with Enterprisewide business systems implementation Must have worked with both Waterfall and Agile p! roject management methodologies Experience leading interdepartmental pr! ojects Must have the ability to work collaboratively to achieve organizational and team goalsresults Experience working with ASPnet C MS SQL Server and ERP or AMS systems is preferred Experience as a business analyst or business systems analyst is required Experience in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project is required Experience in SharePoint and Microsoft Visio is preferred Report writing experience is preferred SSRS Cognos Business Objects or other tools PM; Project Manager; PMP; Waterfall; Agile; SDLC
