ANESTHESIA TECH, CERTIFIED - Part time - Days; varied schedule

Description: Adventist Hinsdale Hospital is currently seeking to employ ANESTHESIA TECH, CERTIFIED - Part time - Days; varied schedule right now, this position will be ordered in Illinois. Further informations about this position opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Cleans and maintains anesthesia equipment and supplies. Assists in surgery. Serves as an aide to an! esthesiologist and nurse anesthetist in providing routine department maintenance and clerical functions. Works under general supervision.
This work schedule for this position is weekly rotation of days & PMs with one Saturday per month. This position does involve a rotating on-call schedule.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimun 2 years experience as a certified anesthesia technician preferred
- Has successfully completed the certification requirements established by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
- Promotes a positive atomosphere within the work area by demonstrating the ability to cooperate with and assist fellow healthcare team members
- Demonstates practical knowledge and expertise in all general areas of anesthesia. Must have a thorough knowledge of the set-up, operation and troubleshooting of anesthesia delivery systems, monitors and ancillary devices
- Is k! nowledgeable of all guidelines, policies and safety requiremen! ts as determined by all relevant regulatory and standard setting agencies or organizations
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
- Is able to perform technical duties in complex clinical situations
- Is knowledgeable of biologic hazards, infection control and standard precautions
- CPR certification is required
- ACLS certification is preferred
- Must be capable of a level of self direction and supervision that is commensurate with training
