The Position
Individual with advanced educational preparation
Utilize strong managerial skills in planning, organizing, i! mplementing and controlling available resources
Provide leadership to departmental personnel
Evaluate department operations and employee performance
Effectively communicate with other departments to attain the highest quality and most effective provision of service to patients, family, physicians, and the community
Oversee the following Departments: Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgical Care, In Patient Surgical, PACU, Anesthesia (CNRAs), Endoscopy, Pain Center, and Central Sterilization
Approximately: 100 FTEs. Report to CNO (Chief Nursing Officer)
Variety of Direct Reports: 2 Directors (Director of Anesthesia & Director of Surgery Services (oversees Surgical Care and Surgery). Senior RNs, staff RNs, CRNAs, Patient Care Techs (CNAs), clerks, secretaries, etc.
Top Challenges: Patient Experience, Quality Oversight integration of evidence based medicine.
Experience with Project Management
They seek an individual wh! o will build relationship with physicians. They wish to build ! their program with Perioperative Service Line. This candidate should be strategic and familiar with building strategic planning.

Requirements
Illinois RN license (or willing to get their IL license)
Masters Degree is preferred (but will consider a candidate working on Masters). If bachelors degree is in nursing, a Masters in Health Care or Business would be acceptable. If a bachelors degree is in another field, a Masters in Nursing required.
3-5 years progressive Perioperative Service Line leadership experience
