Established by the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Anesthesia Quality Institute (AQI) repre! sents the next step in the specialty’s quality improvement mission. Although operating as a separate 501(c)(3) entity, AQI’s work will complement and enhance the efforts of ASA and other organizations such as the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation, the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research, the ASA Closed Claims Project, the National Surgical Quality Improvement Project and the Surgical Quality Alliance.
Position Summary:
The Marketing Operations Associate performs the daily activities of the AQI. The position has a key role in promoting AQI and working with a variety of committees. Responsible for back office functions of AQI.
Responsibilities:
Major Activity: Increases publicity for AQI through ASA Newsletters, ASAP, component society websites/newsletters, and meetings including COPM, and ASA Annual Meeting. Maintains AQI’s social media presence.
Major Activity: Manages, maintains and develops th! e website content â€"including the public and Members Only pag! es. AQI has a content management system for the website.
Major Activity: Coordinates grant applications with Senior Research Associate and Assistant. Determines deadlines, collects required components, and drafts budget. Assists with filing grant applications.
Major Activity: Schedules AQI Board calls, prepares agendas, tracks and files non-disclosure forms, materials and minutes. Revises roster, listserv and web portal as needed.
Minor Activity: Tracks AQI in the media and creates a monthly report. This also includes maintaining a publication list of papers by researchers using AQI data.
Minor Activity: Ensures that Patient Safety Organization yearly requirements are met. Participates in conference calls and leads reporting efforts.
Minor Activity: Maintains AIRS Committee roster, listserv and web portal. Tracks and files non-disclosures.
Minor Activity: Other duties may be assigned.
