We are currently seeking a n IT Quality Assurance Analyst ! for our corporate location.

Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst’s role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the IT department. This individual will also gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This will include writing test plans, test scenarios and test scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. The QA Analyst will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and establish QA measures and testing standards for new applications and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Create and exe! cute test plans, test scenarios and test scripts that will determine compliance of an application’s functional design with the stated/documented requirements for a given system; also ensure optimal application performance according to system specifications.
  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements, functional requirements, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
  • Collaborate with various IT professionals during application testing such as system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods.
  • Work with appropriate project stakeholders to properly understand business requirements, expectations and ensure successful User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT systems and IT projects across the organization.
  • Participate in developing, distributing,! and coordinating in-depth end-user reviews of systems for modified and! new applications.
  • Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
  • Utilize QA tool(s) and templates used for managing QA processes, including automated functional and load testing tools.
  • Make recommendations for improvement of applications to programmers and software developers or engineers.
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of QA best practices and ensure that QA processes are followed for operational systems and new IT projects.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, training or similar field required.
  • Certification preferred in either CSQA (Certified Software Quality Analyst) or CSTP (Certified Software Test Professional).
  • Minimum 3 years of Software QA experience at an Associate or Analyst level. Minimum of 1 year direct experience as a lead tester for! major application integration and/or major application product release.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs and reporting software.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience creating test plans, test scenarios and test scripts.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience testing ASP.net web applications and MS SQL Server as back-end database.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using MS Office 2007/2010 Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with testing software, including functional and load testing tools (e.g. LoadRunner , WinRunner , TestDirector ).
  • Experience with web and mobile (include tablets and smartphones).
  • SharePoint user experience preferred.
